A month or two before I even thought of the heArt-a-Day concept I was busy learning how to use Photoshop. It was a struggle at first, but my boyfriend had built me a virtual art gallery in Second Life and I wanted to use Photoshop to fill it with art. Finally, a couple weeks before Valentine’s Day I invented a sort of “formula” for collages using my own flower photos as backgrounds and some free domain vintage couples images. It was like I’d found the key to Photoshop and after five or six of those Valentines I felt like I’d developed some competence.
Today’s art is a nod to my beginnings. I’ve made a whole gallery for them at Zazzle (Vintage Collage Gallery), where you can also find this collage on a card as shown.

Hi Gretchen,
I love your work, that’s why I hope I’ve linked your artwork blog to mine properly(which I copied from Nancy).
Please, send any further information should you like! Your information is now in Canada.
I’d love to link your blog onto my sidebar if that is okay with you! You just never know where you will go. It’s been a pleasure to “meet you”.
Regards,
Lily

Oh my gosh Gretchen, I’d never do anything that would encroach upon someone else’s creativity. No, never!
I am truly sorry if you felt that way and please know that I would never infringe upon anyone. Sorry if I offended you in any way. I was hoping that by sharing Nancy’s blog information on her “virtual” race it would just open up the doors in Canada.
If it is okay with you I would like to add your blog link to my blog. I asked Nancy if it was alright with her before I went ahead and added her blog to my side bar. So with your blessings I am asking to include you in my blog.
Never, ever would I intentionally hurt anyone.
I just love your work and thought I’d share it.
Respectfully
Laurel
(If this brings more work your way, so be it!)

Thanks Gretchen,
I’m so glad we got past both of our misunderstandings…..blessings to you and your creativity. Maybe, just maybe, Canada will open some doors for you.
I will add you to my “runner’s aside” and hopefully see what gives.
please stay in touch
Respectfully,
Lily
