heArt #5 “Blue Madonna” Saturday, May 19 2007

Not For Sale

heArt #5 “Blue Madonna”

This piece is an original ACEO, 3.5 x 2.5 inches, done in colored pencils and pastels on Bristol board. The color is fairly true, but slightly different in real life. The word heArt is not on the actual piece itself. I drew this intuitively and as the imagery developed I felt that it was meant to be Mary, or the Madonna.

The word “heArt” not part of the actual artwork.

heArt #2 “Mesa Quilt” Wednesday, May 16 2007

heArt #2 “Mesa Quilt”

One of a kind original, hand drawn, ACEO, using colored pencil and pastels on Bristol board, not fixed. 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The colors are ever so slightly different in real life. There is a more gradual shading of the oranges around the heart, and the green is more blue and brighter, the purples more of a true purple.

The word “heArt” is not on the actual drawing.

I was thinking about the deities of the Hopi of the Southwestern United States, the Yei, when I drew this.

heArt #1 Angel of My Heart Wednesday, May 16 2007

Angel of my Heart

This is my first heArt ACEO, or “Art Card, Edition or Original”. It is pastel and colored pencil on bristol board. I’m not letting it go. :) As all ACEO’s are, it is 3.5 x 2.5 inches.
